Fine Arts Fundamentals Camp
For campers entering grades 2 – 5
Session II - Monday, June 19 - Friday 23, 2023
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
$250 members per session / $275 non-members per session
Join us for an exciting summer of art exploration and art-making with art and wellness educators! Each week will offer different projects, inspired by our 23rd year anniversary and great works of Southern art. During each 1-week session, campers will create a variety of projects crafted from a range of innovative media. Small groups ensure that all campers will get lots of attention and individual instruction. The Ogden Teen Interns will be mentors and creative partners. Mindfulness and movement exercises will be incorporated daily. At the end of each session, family and friends are invited to a gallery exhibition showcasing camper artwork.
Young artists will have the opportunity to explore the mediums of sculpture, painting, drawing, mixed media, bookmaking, printmaking and so much more! Each project is original and offers a new experience.
Students should come with a water bottle, snack, lunch and an extra layer each day.
Session II - Scenes from the South
The second session explores our connection to nature and our surroundings through printmaking, charcoal drawing, outdoor excursions, landscape painting, abstraction and sculpture making. Prepare to look at color, light, line, shape and form through a new lens of environmental awareness and impact. How will your artistic vision reflect the world around us today?
