Adult Art Class: Mixed Media Collage & Painting Inspired by Benny Andrews
Tuesdays, 1–4 p.m. | January 14, 21, 28 and February 11

Join Museum Educator Myron Solomon, Jr. for a four-week journey into mixed media and collage art inspired by the work of Benny Andrews. Explore how Andrews used bold colors, layered textures and personal narratives to create impactful art.

In this hands-on class, you’ll experiment with a variety of materials and techniques, blending collage and painting to craft unique visual stories. Each session focuses on a different aspect of the process, allowing participants to create a finished or near-finished piece each week.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this class will encourage you to push creative boundaries. 

Supplies provided, but personal collage and painting materials are encouraged
