Art Studi-O: Hand Beading Series with Marwan Pleasant

Join Marwan Pleasant, a Black Masking Indian artist with over 20 years of experience in an immersive hands-on workshop. In this three-part workshop series, participants will explore intermediate beading techniques using a variety of seed beads, gems and sequins to create a unique embellished brooch pin. Attendees will gain cultural insight, technical skill and creative confidence as they explore the artistry behind this longstanding craft. 

What you’ll learn:

1. How to identify and source various types of beads and materials

2. Three dimensional beading techniques 

3. Advanced beading finishes 

Participants will learn the foundations of hand beading, advanced techniques and leave with a finished brooch pin.

All workshops are conducted in a friendly and welcoming environment. All materials are provided. All levels are welcomed.
