After a tour and discussion our Prospect.4 exhibitions examining how artists use symbology to address social or environmental concerns, artist and educator Michel Varisco will guide each participant in a process of discovery to create their own symbols that express a response to an area of personal or global concern or interest. Students will then create a lantern using thin pieces of metal and a wire armature, incorporating those personal images into their own sculptural statement.
