Grad Student Gatherings

This new series, tailored specifically for graduate students in Arts Administration and Museum Studies, aims to connect young professionals in the museum and non-profit fields from across the Greater New Orleans area. Join us and explore topics such as: What is involved in running a Museum? Who decides what exhibitions are presented? What makes the Ogden Museum of Southern Art different from other museums? Planned on select Thursdays, each Grad Student Gathering will include a tour of the Museum followed by an engaging round-table discussion. Participants are then invited to stay for Ogden After Hours, the weekly entertainment series showcasing Southern musicians with food, drinks and access to the galleries (FREE admission to OAH for all attendees). Don't miss the chance to network and take a peek behind the scenes at the O!

Session 3: Social Media and Marketing
Thursday, April 26th @ 5:30pm

How does a Museum reach new audiences while engaging with familiar ones? The last Grad School Gathering of the school year will discuss strategies and tools museums use for audience retention and diversification. Join us to tour the current exhibitions followed by a round-table discussion. Afterwards, stay for Ogden After Hours, the weekly entertainment series with food, drinks and access to the galleries.
