Wear your HBCU or Divine 9 gear to a delightful afternoon event at Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Sip on a festive cocktail while enjoying a special tour of Battle of the Bands: The HBCU Marching Band Series with artist Keith Duncan. Plus, all who attend will have a chance to win a $1000 donation to their organization’s scholarship fund. Winner must be present at drawing. 

After the tour, stay for a Curated Conversation featuring Duncan in conversation with Ron Bechet, artist and professor of art at Xavier University of Louisiana.  In addition to exploring Duncan’s new body of work, the artists will discuss the history of HBCU drum majors and marching bands, along with Duncan’s inspiration, influences and art practice.
